He seems to be the Iran expert for the New York Times, and was there last summer during the protests. This recent post (http://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/05/opinion/05iht-edcohen.html?pagewanted=1) lists ten things Americans should know about Iran, which provides an excellent discussion of where U.S.-Iran relations are now and what America should do about it... namely, NOT go to war, as certain people are suggesting.
