David Barton Lies Again

David Barton is one of the main proponents of the "America is a Christian Nation, and the Founding Fathers wanted it that way" school.  His problem is that it isn't true.  Sure, the vast majority of Americans were Christians... but that does not mean that all the Founding Fathers were, and, moreover, many Christians at the time, including most evangelicals, believed strongly in the separation of Church and State.  This was because all the states had established Churches, none of which were evangelical.  Ed Brayton here discusses (http://scienceblogs.com/dispatches/2010/03/barton_v_rodda.php) some of Barton's disinformation and the work of Chris Rodda, who has refuted Barton and his cronies very well for years.
