Marvelous news that at an anti-mosque protest in Temecula, California, there were more demonstrators for the mosque than against it, and they were from many faiths. These people know that it is wrong to tar all Muslims with the acts of a few radicals, as wrong as it would be to tar all those against abortion with the acts of Eric Rudolph and Scott Roeder.
By the way, I'm seeing quite often these days that right wingers are claiming Islam is not a religion. I suppose they think that if they say that and can get away with it, Muslims won't have to be accorded freedom of religion rights. That dog won't hunt. It is a religion and I believe pretty much any court in the country would agree and insist that they have the same freedom of religion rights as Christians, Jews, Hindus, Wiccans, Buddhists, etc.
