MoJo has this set of graphs illustrating how the drug war in the U.S. has been waged, with the money spent for supply reduction vs. treatment, the percentage of drug arrests for possession and distribution, share of arrests for which drugs, percent of inmates getting drug treatment, and number of drug offenders behind bars in 1980 and 2009.
